Mexico City travel at your finger tips

There is much to in Mexico City. Ancient ruins are plentiful as well as some great night time activities such as clubs, bars, shows and more. Alternatively, there are also some delightful canals, parks, and gardens around the city.

Attractions

The heart of the city, Cento Historico, is built on the ruins of an original Aztec capital. The Plaza de la Constiticion is the main square lying at its center; near here are many interesting sites, including the Palacio Nacional and Catedral Metropolitana. Not far from the main square are the Templo Mayor and the Museo del Templo, which both hold some great artifacts.

The Palacio de Bellas Artes has some of Mexico’s greatest art works on display. Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City’s grandest boulevard, runs from Centro Historico to Chapultepec Park. Here is where you can find a zoo, lakes, and museums. The famous Museo Nacional de Antropologia is also here.

At night Mexico City really heats up with your choice of mariachis, reggae, opera, folkloric dance, classical ballet, or dinner shows. The hottest spots for dance clubs are the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods. The Zona Rosa remains highly popular and continues to be the most comfortable place for tourists.

For shopping, head to Plaza Loreto. The Plaza is a mall with an amphitheatre, multi screen cinemas, restaurants, and the Museo Soumaya. For a relaxing day, try Alameda Central, the peaceful park in the center of the city.
