There are many sorts of water sports activities offered to the active tourist including boating, fishing, paragliding, and jet skiing. Scuba diving courses are very popular, and the diving off the offshore islets is exhilarating, with a wide array of dive schools offering good quality excursions to nearby reefs and islands.

Hard to miss in the tourist areas are the day and night markets offering excellent value for money. Particularly silk and other clothing can be purchased at very low prices, beware of fake goods!

Scattered all over town are endless eateries with tasty but hot Thai food, vibrant and sometimes rowdy pubs packed with ‘lonely’ Thai ladies, Karaoke establishments and good inexpensive hotels. Nighttime, Pattaya boasts a wide range of entertainment and is well known for its erotic scene. These are generally packed together in areas and recognised by the scores of single ladies trying to persuade you to come in.
